ICAEW in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a growing practice. You will prepare and review financial statements for a varied client portfolio, ensuring statutory deadlines are met and advising on best practices.

You will mentor juniors, liaise with HMRC/Companies House and contribute to process improvements within a supportive, forward-thinking firm with hybrid working and strong wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in accounting with knowledge of UK accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record as a Semi-Senior and aiming to step up to Senior or equivalent role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel; high attention to detail and strong analytical ability.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review financial statements for a portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Advise clients on best practices, meet statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements; liaise with HMRC and Companies House.
• Mentor and review work of junior team members; support development and contribute to planning initiatives led by senior management.
