Job summary

Bishop Fleming in Birmingham is seeking an ambitious Manager to lead our newly opened office. You will guide our Accountancy team, recruit and coach staff, and deliver a range of compliance and advisory services to owner-managed businesses across the Midlands.

Working with partners, you will grow the client portfolio, introduce additional services, and build a trusted advisory relationship with clients while mentoring junior colleagues toward becoming accomplished business advisors.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience of working within a business services environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and staff at all levels.
• Strong people management and coaching capabilities with a track record of developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accountancy team, including recruiting and coaching staff to reach potential.
• Build relationships with owner-managed business clients and provide trusted advisor services.
• Monitor developments in the accounting marketplace to maintain competitiveness and efficiency.
• Develop a local network to support business development and growth.
