Based in Birmingham, you'll manage your own portfolio, provide insightful financial advice, and play an active role in mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities

• Review bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts across a varied portfolio.
• Oversee statutory accounts, corporation tax, and personal tax compliance.
• Prepare advisory and technical documentation for senior review.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing deadlines and queries efficiently.
• Support Managers and Directors on client workflow, including Accounts, Tax, Payroll, and VAT.
• Develop a thorough understanding of clients\' business operations to deliver commercially sound advice.
• Guide clients on best practices in system setup, controls, and software use.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to staff training and development.
• Identify areas to streamline internal processes for greater efficiency.

Skills and Experience

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with strong technical grounding.
• Minimum of two years\' post-qualified practice experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and Xero; experience with Iris or Sage is beneficial.
• Confident communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Skilled in managing teams and fostering professional growth.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
