Not disclosed Chartered Accountancy firm in Norfolk is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well established and experienced team of accounting professionals.

The role involves preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT and personal tax returns, overseeing bookkeeping and management accounts, and providing tax planning advice. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 3–5 years UK practice experience and strong client facing skills.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients across various sectors.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Prepare and submit corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns.
• Oversee bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior staff.
• Assist clients with HMRC queries, compliance, and tax planning.
• Provide general business advice and support to clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing training and reviewing their work.
• Liaise with clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Ensure work is completed in line with deadlines and regulatory requirements.

My client is a well-established and respected Chartered Accountancy firm with offices throughout Norfolk, this particular position is in the North-East of Norfolk, close to the coast. As part of their continued growth, the business is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their well established and experienced team of accountancy professionals.

My client is dedicated to providing comprehensive financial solutions to businesses and individuals. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional accounting services, they strive to ensure clients' financial success and compliance within UK regulations.

The firm provide a variety of services which includes Auditing, Statutory Accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts and Tax advisory.

Due to the highly varied client base in which the firm support, the successful candidate will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting and business advisory experience.

This is a hands‑on role suitable for a qualified accountant with experience in practice, who is confident managing a diverse client portfolio, including review work and providing a high level of service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients across various sectors.


• Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).


• Or part qualified with at least 3 years’ experience as a manager running a client portfolio


• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice


• Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and HMRC systems.


• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and IRIS or similar.


• Excellent communication and organisational skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.


• A proactive and client-focused approach.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous exposure to client onboarding and practice development.

Salary/Benefits
