Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd seeks a Senior Accountant to join an established accountancy practice. Take ownership of a varied client portfolio, work closely with senior management and enjoy genuine long-term progression.

You will manage client relationships, prepare accounts and tax returns, and contribute to advisory work and growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• ACCA or ACA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.
• Experience reviewing the work of junior staff.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach.
• Confident working independently while contributing to a team.
• Experience using accountancy practice software.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Client in their established and growing Accountancy Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, work closely with senior management and benefit from a genuine long-term progression opportunity.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
• Providing clients with proactive advice and identifying opportunities to add value
• Assisting with audit assignments where required
• Reviewing the work of junior and semi-senior members of the team
• Supporting senior management with advisory work and special projects
• Attending client meetings and developing strong, long-term relationships
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice

What We\'re Looking For:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice
