Job summary

Sheridan Maine is assisting a well-established accountancy practice in the Harrow area to appoint a Senior Accountant. You will manage client portfolios, deliver high-quality accounting services and work closely with colleagues to maintain a high standard of client service.

The role involves year-end and management accounts, VAT returns and tax support, with a focus on building strong client relationships in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, or be qualified by experience.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality accounting services. Your responsibilities will include:

The Person

We are looking for an experienced accountant who is confident working within an accountancy practice and enjoys developing strong relationships with clients.

You will ideally have:

• 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
