An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established accounts team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is passionate about providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

The successful Senior Accountant will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, offering strategic advice and hands-on support to help them achieve their business objectives.

Accounts Senior Job Overview

1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
2. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
3. Assist with the development and training of junior team members
4. Liaising with clients on queries, via phone, video call, or face-to-face
5. Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
6. Daily bookkeeping and preparation & filing of VAT returns under various schemes
7. Preparing accounts under FRS 102

Job Requirements

• AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA/ACCA – study support available
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a UK-based accountancy practice
• Hands-on, diligent, with excellent client interpersonal skills
• Experience with accounts software such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
• Based locally to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience
