Senior Accountant - Part-Qualified / Qualified
Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire | £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) passionate about delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

The successful Senior Accountant will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, providing strategic advice and hands-on support to help them achieve their business objectives.

Job Overview

1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
2. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
3. Assist with the development and training of junior team members
4. Liaise with clients on queries via phone, video call, or face-to-face
5. Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
6. Daily bookkeeping and preparation and filing of VAT returns under various VAT schemes
7. Preparing accounts under FRS 102

Job Requirements

1. AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA/ACCA (study support available)
2. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a UK-based accountancy practice
3. Proactive, diligent, with excellent client interpersonal skills
4. Experience with accounts software such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, Excel, Word, and Outlook
5. Located near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience
