Senior Accountant - Part-Qualified / Qualified
Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire | £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits
Full Time | Permanent

An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) passionate about delivering exceptional service and fostering strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, providing strategic advice and practical support to help them meet their business goals.

Job Overview

1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
2. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
3. Assist with the development and training of junior team members.
4. Liaise with clients on queries via phone, video calls, or face-to-face meetings.
5. Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
6. Handle daily bookkeeping and prepare and file VAT returns (monthly and quarterly) under various VAT schemes.
7. Prepare accounts under FRS 102.

Job Requirements

• AAT qualified and at least part-qualified ACA/ACCA (study support available).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UK-based accountancy practice.
• Hands-on, diligent, with excellent client interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in accounts software such as CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, as well as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Located near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience.
