Senior Accountant - Part-Qualified / Qualified

An innovative and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and established accounts team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is passionate about providing exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

The successful Senior Accountant will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, SMEs, and large corporations, offering strategic advice and hands-on support to help them achieve their business objectives.

Accounts Senior Job Overview

• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Assist with the development and training of junior team members
• Liaising with clients on queries, over the phone, via video call, or face-to-face
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
• Daily bookkeeping and preparing and filing VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes
• Preparing accounts under FRS 102

Accounts Senior Job Requirements

• AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA / ACCA – study support available
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a UK-based accountancy practice
• Hands-on, diligent, and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills
• Excellent accounts software experience, ideally with CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Based locally to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on skills and experience
