Full Job Description
The Role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager EMEA Industrial Solutions & Oilfield Chemistry to be responsible for sales within the EMEA market segment. This is a business and strategic role requiring a high level of customer engagement with large accounts to maintain and develop long-term customer relationships, maximize sales and commercial performance, and drive results. Reporting to the Sales Director Industrial Solutions EMEA, based in France, the Senior Account Manager will be home-based with frequent travel to the Middle East and Caspian regions, as well as occasional global travel, with availability during non-standard work hours.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Understand and help drive the execution of market strategy, product selection, pricing, manufacturing site selection, sales process, payment terms, channel management, and resolve conflicts between regions.
- Prepare and execute annual Account Plans and Key Account strategies for assigned accounts.
- Set and achieve the annual sales budget (total margin) in conjunction with the Director of Sales EMEA.
- Interact with clients' large customers and sell the product portfolio, leveraging the strength of the brand, to help achieve company revenue and profitability objectives.
- Understand the industrial solutions and oilfield chemistry market in the assigned region and promote realistic growth opportunities for existing and new products.
- Manage price changes to maintain or improve profitability, achieving company margin and profit expectations for current, new, and modified products.
- Manage sales contracts (purchase & supply agreements) by negotiating, amending, or updating information as necessary. Proactively review contracts regularly to ensure customer requirements are met and the client gains maximum value.
- Review the product portfolio regularly with the EMEA Sales Director to ensure the business can meet sales goals and objectives and maximize resource utilization to execute the regional market strategy.
- Collaborate with Customer Technical Service (CTS) to resolve technical issues and complaints.
- Provide a projected sales forecast by customers and products monthly.
- Support the Behavioural Safety Program and contribute to managing the client's Quality Program, ISO 9001, and RC14001 Standards, in conjunction with regional quality management employees.
- Understand the regulatory and EHS conditions in the region.

- BSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration with a science minor; MBA or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience in chemical sales and business development with a proven track record in an international (multinational) environment.
- Proven leadership and teamwork qualities.
- Language skills: Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written. French and Italian are advantageous.
