Job summary

PIB Insurance Brokers, part of PIB Group, is seeking a Senior Account Handler in Glasgow. You will deliver expert guidance, manage high-value client portfolios, and handle broking tasks from queries to renewals while maintaining strong insurer relationships.

The role requires extensive commercial insurance experience, a Cert CII, MS Office proficiency, and a good understanding of Acturis. Hybrid working in a city-centre office supports flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and knowledge of core commercial/corporate insurance classes and FCA compliance are essential.
• Cert CII (minimum) with confident use of MS Office is essential; Acturis knowledge is highly desirable.
• Strong organisation, planning and time management skills, able to prioritise and meet SLAs.
• Excellent, influential communication with clients and insurers with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, assessing needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.
• Handle day-to-day broking tasks: client queries, new business, renewals, adjustments and insurer surveys with accurate processing on core systems.
• Support Account Executives and the Branch Manager in growing branch income and managing high-value client portfolios.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve processes and service quality, resolve issues and uphold company policies.
