Job summary

OPTIS, part of PIB Group, is recruiting for a Commercial Property Insurance Account Handler in London. You will manage a book of commercial property insurance for a portfolio of retail brokers, delivering excellent service and accurate risk information.

You will prepare renewals, endorsements, and market submissions, liaise with clients and Account Executives, and produce professional policy documentation. The role offers hybrid working and real growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the insurance industry, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• IT proficient, particularly in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and confident manner on email and phone.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, staying flexible and effective under pressure.
• Knowledge of the London Market placement process (Desirable).
• Commercial property insurance experience (Desirable).
• CII qualification (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary day-to-day contact for allocated accounts, responding promptly to client and broker queries.
• Prepare and issue renewal invitations, mid-term adjustments, endorsements and cancellations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Obtain and collate risk information from clients and Account Executives to support marketing and placement activity.
• Prepare high-quality market presentations, submissions and risk summaries for London Market insurers.
• Produce and check policy documentation, cover notes, schedules, debit/credit notes and other related documents.
