Job summary

Cavendish Maine is seeking a senior PI account executive to take over a substantial client book as a director retires, with a national footprint and a six-figure package.

You’ll inherit established relationships across solicitors’ PI, design, construction, and related PI lines, focusing on renewals, client growth, and negotiating terms with insurers while maintaining high professional credibility and travel across the UK.

Job description

A director is retiring, and their clients need someone new to trust.

Could that be you? A national broker with an impressive footprint is looking for a senior PI account executive to take on a six-figure income book, on a six-figure package.

These are established relationships, so you won't be starting from scratch. The job is to win the clients' confidence, keep them and grow the book. If you're a strong PI exec who wants real ownership of a substantial portfolio, this is worth a conversation.

The book

The book has a strong solicitors' PI bias, alongside design and construction, surveyors, architects and miscellaneous PI. Clients are spread across the UK.

Solicitors' PI knowledge is advantageous but not essential. Proven senior PI experience matters most.

What you'll do

• Take over relationships from the retiring director
• Build trust with managing partners, directors and other key decision makers
• Lead renewals, protecting retention and income
• Grow income from existing clients and referrals
• Negotiate terms with PI insurers and support clients through claims

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a senior PI account executive
• A proven track record of retaining and growing client portfolios
• Credibility with senior professional clients
• Established relationships with PI insurers and strong negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel across the UK

Experience of other PI classes and a Cert CII or ACII would also be advantageous.
