Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a SENDIASS Case Worker to provide impartial information, advice and support to children and young people with SEND and their families across education, health and social care. You will help families understand EHCP processes, assessments and available options, and support them to share their views in meetings.

Working as part of a small specialist team, you will manage casework, attend meetings, build positive relationships with schools and professionals,

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Experience in giving impartial information, guidance or support to children and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with schools, professionals and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide impartial information, advice and support to children and young people with SEND and their families.
• Explain SEND processes, EHCPs, assessments and available options clearly.
• Manage casework, attend meetings and help families share their views.
• Build positive working relationships with schools and partner organisations; contribute to workshops and community engagement.
