Grade A Recruitment Ltd is seeking a SENDCo to lead a secondary school’s Learning Support Department, champion inclusion and drive outstanding outcomes for pupils with SEND. You will work with senior leaders, parents, governors and external agencies to ensure high-quality provision and compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.

The role focuses on strategic leadership, staff development, EHCP management and collaboration across departments to improve achievement and wellbeing for all learners.

Qualifikationen

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
• Significant SEND experience in a secondary school.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, governors and external agencies.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND provision across the school.
• Lead and manage the Learning Support Department.
• Oversee identification, assessment, monitoring, and support of SEND students.
• Ensure high-quality teaching for SEND through collaboration with staff.
• Manage SEND funding and resources to maximise outcomes.
• Lead EHCP reviews and ensure statutory documentation is completed.
• Develop strategies to improve achievement, attendance, inclusion and wellbeing for SEND students.
• Act as liaison with parents, external agencies, local authority and providers.
• Lead transition arrangements for pupils joining/leaving the school.
• Oversee examination access arrangements in line with regulations.
• Drive staff training to enhance SEND practice across the school.
