Job summary

The Godolphin and Latymer School in London seeks an experienced Individual Learning Coordinator (SENDCo) to lead a four-strong ILN team. You will assess pupil learning profiles, adapt teaching methods, and work closely with academic and pastoral staff to support neurodiverse learners.

Starting April 2027 or September 2027, the post offers a full-time permanent position within a leading independent day school for girls. DBS checks and safeguarding are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties.
• Ability to conduct assessments of pupils’ learning profiles.
• Experience teaching and leading a team.
• Desirable: overseeing JCQ-regulated access arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Individual Learning Department (ILN) with four teachers.
• Assess pupils’ learning profiles and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with academic and pastoral staff and with Counsellors and Medical Team.
• Ensure pupils understand themselves as learners and overcome barriers to learning.
