Job summary

The Wainfleet Magdalen Church of England/Methodist School is seeking an experienced SEND leader to work with senior colleagues to manage provision and raise standards for pupils with SEND. You will oversee assessments, develop and monitor individual plans, liaise with parents and external agencies, and ensure compliance with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.

You will provide training to teachers, lead quality first teaching for SEND, coordinate EHCPs and IEPs, and contribute to curriculum

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and SEND leadership experience.
• Ability to assess pupils with SEND and monitor progress.
• Experience working with families and external agencies.
• Knowledge of EHCPs, IEPs and statutory reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the SEND strategy and policy.
• Carry out assessments of pupils with SEND to identify needs and monitor progress.
• Work with teachers, leaders, parents and external agencies to develop support plans.
• Evaluate the impact of inclusive teaching and support staff.
• Provide regular updates on pupil progress to Parents.
• Make referrals and liaise with professionals outside of the school.
• Organise statutory reviews and CAF/TAC meetings.
• Provide advice, guidance and training to teachers on supporting pupils with SEND.
• Coordinate IEPs, EHCPs and EPEPs within school.
• Oversee SEND register and SEND files.
