Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Academy in Liverpool seeks a SENDCo with strategic leadership to coordinate SEND provision across the school and contribute to Trust-wide priorities. The role leads EHCP processes, staff development, and safeguarding, ensuring strong outcomes for pupils with SEND within a Catholic ethos.

With QTS and NASENCo (or willingness to obtain), you will drive inclusive teaching, monitor progress, and collaborate with external agencies to support vulnerable learners and school

Qualifications

• QTS is required for the role.
• NASENCo recognised or willing to achieve within statutory timeframe.
• Evidence of leading SEND provision with impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational management of SEND across the academy.
• Lead a whole-school SEND strategy aligned with the Improvement Plan and Trust priorities.
• Line-manage SEND staff and oversee EHCP processes and annual reviews.
• Analyse data to identify trends and drive improvements for SEND pupils.
• Ensure compliant SEND records, provision mapping and safeguarding practices.
• Promote Catholic ethos and inclusion in curriculum design and teaching.
