Job summary

Lift Plumberow is seeking a SENDCo on a permanent, part-time basis (3 days per week) to lead and develop SEND provision across the school. You will identify needs, coordinate EHCP processes, collaborate with teachers and external professionals, and drive inclusive teaching practices to ensure every pupil can access learning.

As SENDCo you will monitor progress, maintain SEND records, and provide professional development to staff.

Qualifications

• Lead and develop SEND provision across the school
• Identify, assess and support pupils' additional needs
• Strengthen inclusive classroom practice and adaptations
• Coordinate SEND plans, EHCPs and reviews
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals
• Monitor progress using data to drive improvements
• Maintain SEND records and the SEND register
• Provide guidance and professional development on SEND
• Work with the Lift Schools network to share practice
• QTS and NASENCO qualifications are required

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision across the school, ensuring it supports school priorities and an inclusive culture
• Ensure pupils' additional needs are identified, assessed and supported effectively
• Work with teachers to strengthen inclusive classroom practice and ensure appropriate adaptations are made
• Coordinate support plans, interventions and statutory processes, including EHCP assessments and annual reviews
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals
• Monitor pupils' progress and outcomes, using data and evidence to evaluate and continually improve provision
• Maintain accurate SEND records and oversee the school's SEND register
• Provide advice, guidance and professional development to colleagues to build confidence and expertise in supporting pupils with SEND
• Support the effective deployment of SEND resources and support staff, as our SENDCo, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the school and the wider Lift Schools network
