Our client, a thriving and inclusive academy based in Wokingham, is seeking a skilled and compassionate SENDCo to join their leadership team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a pivotal role in a supportive school community, offering the opportunity to shape and lead the strategic development of SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils with additional needs thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
Coordinate and implement EHCPs and individual support plans
Provide guidance and support to staff on inclusive teaching strategies
Monitor and track progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring interventions are effective
Work closely with external agencies, families, and the wider school team
Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all learners
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
A strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice
Proven experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
