Job description

Are you an experienced and passionate SEND professional ready to shape the future of inclusive education? Renaissance Education is looking for an inspirational SENDCO to lead and develop our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provision, ensuring every child receives the personalised support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

As our SENDCO, you'll play a strategic leadership role, working closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders, teachers, therapists, parents and external agencies to deliver exceptional outcomes for pupils with SEND. You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of SEND provision, ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, lead on EHCP processes and interventions, and provide expert guidance that empowers colleagues to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching. Your leadership will help create a culture where every child is supported, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist therapeutic school where education and therapy work hand in hand. You'll lead and develop Learning Support Assistants, contribute to whole-school improvement, analyse the impact of provision and build strong partnerships with families, local authorities and external professionals to ensure children receive the very best support. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions while continuing to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people every day.

We're looking for a compassionate and forward-thinking leader who is committed to inclusive education, has high expectations for every learner and is passionate about removing barriers to learning. In return, you'll join a supportive and ambitious organisation that values innovation, collaboration and continuous professional development, giving you the opportunity to shape outstanding SEND provision and leave a lasting legacy for the children and families we serve.

In return, you will join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that values its staff and invests in their development. You will have access to continuous professional development (CPD), regular professional growth opportunities, breakfast briefings, relevant training, membership to our Perk Box account and opportunities to share best practice as part of a collaborative team.

Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding and child-centred practice throughout the recruitment process and during their employment with Renaissance Education.
