Job summary

FIND | Creating Futures seeks an experienced SENDCo to lead a specialist secondary school’s SEND provision. You will oversee EHCP reviews, LAC/PEPs, and coordinate interventions to improve pupil outcomes.

You will support and develop school staff, work closely with families and external agencies, and contribute to quality assurance and strategic SEND development across the setting.

Qualifications

• Strong SEND leadership experience.
• Excellent knowledge of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience leading staff and SEND provision.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with complex needs.
• QTS or QTLS qualified with leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school’s SEND provision and strategy.

• Coordinate targeted interventions and monitor outcomes.

Our client is looking for an experienced SENDCo to join their specialist secondary school and make a real difference to young people’s lives.

The school supports pupils with EHCPs, including SEMH, SEND, ASD and ADHD. Many pupils have experienced difficulties in mainstream education, making this a fantastic opportunity for a SEND professional who is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes.

You’ll lead the school’s SEND provision, oversee EHCP reviews and LAC/PEPs, coordinate interventions, support and develop staff, and work closely with families and external agencies. You’ll also play a key role in quality assurance and the strategic development of SEND provision.
