Job summary

Targeted Provision is partnering with Schools and Local Authorities in your area to recruit Core Subject SEND Tutors and Teachers (Maths, English, or Science) to transform the lives of young people with SEND and SEMH needs. You will work flexibly, in person or remotely, with trauma-informed approaches to support disengaged and vulnerable learners.

The role is self-employed, with flexible part-time to full-time hours, competitive pay £28–£35 per hour, and access to CPD and mentoring to help you

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• Familiarity with Maths, English and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references
• UK-based with the right to work in the UK (including remote/online work)

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person, online or hybrid Maths/English/Science tuition to learners with SEMH/SEND needs.
• Plan lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress in a trauma-informed way.
• Coordinate with local authorities and schools for referrals and scheduling.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment and safeguarding compliance.
