Job summary

Targeted Provision in the United Kingdom is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to provide in-person, hybrid, or remote Maths, English, or Science tutoring for learners with SEMH and SEND needs. The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice, safeguarding, and flexible hours to fit diverse schedules.

This self-employed opportunity requires 2+ years of teaching experience and a valid QTS/QTLS, with DBS processing assistance available.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs.
• Support pupils by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Support the mission to raise the standard of education for SEND and SEMH learners and collaborate with local authorities and schools.
