Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring SEND Tutors in the Newbury area to provide one-to-one support for students with SEND and SEMH needs. Roles include in-home and remote tutoring, with a trauma-informed, student-centered approach tailored to individual EHCPs.

Successful candidates will have QTS/QTLS and an Enhanced DBS, plus 2+ references and a commitment to safeguarding. We offer flexible hours, the option of in-person, hybrid, or online sessions, and a collaborative team environment with pastoral support

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years post-NQT teaching, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed way.
• Qualifications: QTS / QTLS.
• Approach: child-centered, holistic tutoring.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Location: UK-based, right to work in the UK, including remote/online work.
• Safeguarding: knowledge of safeguarding and safe learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring across KS1–KS5.
• Plan lessons and report progress with regular feedback.
