Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is seeking a SEND Tutor to provide dedicated 1:1 tuition to students outside mainstream settings in Stockton-on-Tees. The role is long-term to offer consistency and help students overcome barriers, with salary £25-£30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

The position starts November 2026 (or sooner) and involves working closely with pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD. You'll join a supportive team backed by a leading education provider, with flexible hours,

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS teaching qualification.
• Experience of working with pupils with EHCPs.
• Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD or other additional needs.
• Passion for making a difference to young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 tuition to students out of mainstream settings.
• Support students with SEND, SEMH and ASD to break learning barriers.
• Help build confidence and reach the student’s potential.
• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with individual needs.

Salary: £25 - £30 per hour

SEND Tutor: Stockton-on-Tees £30 per hour(salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

The LA are looking for an experienced Teacher to provide face to face tuition to students who are out of a mainstream setting. The desired SEND Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD.

The SEND Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning and to give the student the confidence to reach their full potential.

Requirements

• A professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS)


• Experience of working with young people with EHCPs


• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs


• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
