Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who are able to support the learning of children with SEND.

The successful candidates will be excellent classroom practitioners with experience of working with children with a range of needs and who are dedicated to enabling children to achieve their personal best.

They will:

• Work with individual children, including children with SEND and EHCPs.
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to childrenʼs needs
• Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare-including first aid duties
• Be creative and innovative
• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
• Be committed to promoting and upholding the school values and ethos
• Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
• Be motivated and passionate to achieve the very best for the children in our care and make a genuine difference

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering learning activities essential
• Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting essential
• Experience working with children / young people with special educational needs (SEN) essential
• Has experience of leading playground activities.
