Job summary

Catcliffe Primary School in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning for children with SEND. You will work with individuals and as part of a team, helping children achieve their personal best.

The role involves preparing learning materials, adapting teaching support to pupils’ needs, and safeguarding their welfare, including first aid duties. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above is essential.
• Relevant training in SEND or supporting learning within last two years is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual children, including those with SEND and EHCPs.
• Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to pupils' needs.
• Look after children's welfare, including first aid duties.
• Lead intervention groups.
• Promote inclusion and uphold school ethos.
• Be a collaborative team member.
