Job summary

Cover People in Salford is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support secondary pupils with additional needs, including Autism and Complex Needs. This full-time role starts 1st Sept 2026 in a welcoming school and offers a long-term contract with potential permanency.

Hours are 8:30 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, paid PAYE through Cover People at £95–£115 per day. A supportive team and opportunities for professional development await.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred and helpful for supporting SEND learners.
• Two professional references are required.
• Right to work in the UK must be evidenced.

This is a great opportunity for a position as a full time SEND Teaching Assistant at a welcoming & well-run secondary special needs school in Salford. You'll support secondary-aged children, including those with additional needs, such as Autism & Complex Needs, helping them thrive in their learning journey.

The SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

• Start Date: Tuesday 1st Sept 2026.
• Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency.
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
• Pay: £95-115 per day (DOE), paid PAYE directly through Cover People.

What you'll need to provide:
