Job summary

Connex Education is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to work across SEND Schools in Chester. This flexible role lets you choose how many days to work, with hours 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis, help break down barriers to learning and assist with personal care, while contributing to a calm, engaging classroom environment. • Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.

About the role:

Connex Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a SEND Schools across Chester. This is a flexible role where you can pick and choose how many days you would like to work.

About the School:

The SEND Schools we are working with cater for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, SLD, Downs Syndrome, GDD and PMLD. As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, to help break down barriers to learning and to assist with personal care. You will provide emotional support, manage behaviour, help to develop life skills and will work as a team with staff members to create a calm and engaging learning environment.

We have work available straight away and the hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. You can either work day to day or if you are looking for a long- term role we can offer both full-time and long-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to help get your foot in the door of local SEND Schools.
