Job summary

Connex Education is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to work across SEND Schools in Chester. This flexible role lets you choose how many days to work, with hours 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis, help break down barriers to learning and assist with personal care, while contributing to a calm, engaging classroom environment. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children with additional needs, be patient, communicate well and work as part of a

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children or young adults with additional needs in a School or residential setting.
• Be able to provide emotional support, build relationships with pupils and help them to be the best version of themselves.
• Able to communicate well and be patient and able to manage behaviour
• Be willing to assist with personal care
• Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
• Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis to help break down barriers to learning and assist with personal care.
• Provide emotional support, manage behaviour, and help develop life skills while working as part of a team.
