Job summary

TI A Recruitment Ltd places a SEND Teaching Assistant in Handsworth, Birmingham. The role is temporary with potential for permanent employment after around 12 weeks, offering a day rate up to £160 depending on experience.

You will support pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, develop independence and reach their full potential in a high-quality educational setting. The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, be comfortable with personal care duties when required, and work closely

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Willing to undertake personal care duties when required.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Supporting pupils with learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborating with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Following safeguarding procedures and individual pupil care plans.
