Looking to start or develop your career in education? We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Birmingham.
This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.
The school is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, works well as part of a team and is keen to make a positive difference. You don't need to have years of experience - the school is open to applications from both new and experienced Teaching Assistants.
The role will primarily involve classroom-based support, rather than working exclusively with one individual student. You will work alongside teachers and the wider SEND team to support students with a range of additional needs across the classroom. A significant proportion of the SEND provision includes students with SEMH and ADHD, so the ability to build positive relationships and provide calm, consistent support is important.
The school is not looking for a specific level of experience - personality, attitude and the ability to work well with students and colleagues are key.
Most importantly, you'll be patient, approachable, reliable and committed to helping students succeed.
Monday-Thursday: 8:15am-4:45pm
Friday: 8:15am-1:45pm
Whether you're an experienced TA or looking to take your first step into education, this could be a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and become part of a supportive SEND team.
We are committed to safeguarding children. Each applicant will be expected to undertake compliance checks including Prohibited list, Barred list, DBS and Qualifications.
