Looking to start or develop your career in education? We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Birmingham.

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school is looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, works well as part of a team and is keen to make a positive difference. You don't need to have years of experience - the school is open to applications from both new and experienced Teaching Assistants.

About the Role

The role will primarily involve classroom-based support, rather than working exclusively with one individual student. You will work alongside teachers and the wider SEND team to support students with a range of additional needs across the classroom. A significant proportion of the SEND provision includes students with SEMH and ADHD, so the ability to build positive relationships and provide calm, consistent support is important.

  • Someone who has recently completed a relevant qualification.
  • A candidate with transferable experience working with children or young people.
  • Someone already working in education who wants to develop their SEND experience.

Most importantly, you'll be patient, approachable, reliable and committed to helping students succeed.

Why Apply?
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity with potential for a permanent position
  • Full-time, consistent hours
  • Work as part of an established SEND team
