First For Education is seeking a compassionate, proactive and hands‑on SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting in Harborne, Birmingham, supporting children and young people with a range of complex and additional needs.
This is a full‑time, long‑term position and an opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment where patience, consistency and genuinely understanding the individual child are at the heart of what they do.
The role will involve providing practical, learning and physical support to pupils throughout the school day. Experience supporting movement, mobility or physical needs would be highly beneficial, although equally important is finding the right person with the right attitude – someone who is hands‑on, willing to learn and genuinely wants to make a difference.
Previous experience within a specialist SEND school, complex-needs provision, care environment or similar setting would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in people with relevant hands‑on experience who have the right values and are keen to develop.
This isn't simply about having every qualification on paper. We're looking for somebody who wants to understand the pupils they support, get involved and become a positive and consistent part of their school day.
