Job summary

Envision Education has partnered with a welcoming specialist school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants. You will support children with severe learning difficulties to access learning, develop independence, and feel supported throughout the school day, with personal care possible.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally including SLD.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of communication and learning needs.
• Willingness to assist with personal care if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils' needs.
• Help children engage with learning, communication and daily routines.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and use positive behaviour strategies.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, inclusive environment.
