Job summary

TeacherActive is looking for caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a fantastic SEND school in Newark (NG24).

You will support children with SEND individually and in small groups, helping them access learning, build relationships, and develop confidence and independence in a nurturing setting.

You will work alongside a supportive team, with daily PAYE pay and ongoing opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• A patient, nurturing and caring approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

TeacherActive is looking for caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a fantastic SEND school in Newark.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will adapt your support to each child s needs, build trusting relationships and celebrate their progress. A patient, nurturing approach will be central to helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

Your role will include:

• Supporting children with SEND individually and in small groups.

• Helping pupils access and engage with learning activities.

• Building positive relationships and encouraging independence.

• Supporting emotional well-being and positive behaviour.

• Working closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEND.

• A patient, nurturing and caring approach.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience.

• An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
