Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a temporary placement in a welcoming Nottinghamshire provision. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils engage with learning and build confidence. A positive, patient approach and DBS update service eligibility are preferred.

Role offers flexible day-to-day supply with potential long-term opportunities, competitive pay, and supportive consultant guidance across ongoing and long-term assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Knowledge or experience of Autism and ADHD
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of positive behaviour support
• DBS check via Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Good safeguarding understanding

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team. Day-to-day supply and potential long-term opportunities are available.

You will:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support
• Help make learning engaging and accessible

• Celebrate pupils’ progress and achievements
• Support the development of confidence, independence and social skills

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Knowledge or experience of Autism and ADHD
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• An understanding of positive behaviour support
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• A good understanding of safeguarding
