Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a Newark-based primary school in NG24. You will support children with SEND, helping them access activities and develop confidence in a warm, inclusive environment.

Pay: £90–£105 per day

TeacherActive is looking for caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a fantastic SEND school in Newark.

The school has amazing facilities and a very welcoming, supportive environment. You will work alongside a supportive team to help children feel secure, included and ready to learn.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will adapt your support to each child’s needs, build trusting relationships and celebrate their progress. A patient, nurturing approach will be central to helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

Your role will include:

• Supporting children with SEND individually and in small groups.
• Helping pupils access and engage with learning activities.
• Building positive relationships and encouraging independence.
• Supporting emotional well-being and positive behaviour.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
