SEND Teaching Assistant – Level 3 – September 2025 Start

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A highly regarded special school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Level 3 qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where pupils thrive, and staff are truly valued.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special needs including autism, communication difficulties, and learning delays. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a proven track record of working in a specialist or inclusive setting. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Job Role:
  • Supporting pupils with autism and additional needs in a classroom setting
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Working closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support

  • Monitoring progress and encouraging independence
