Job summary

A welcoming primary school in Hodge Hill is seeking several Teaching Assistants for the new academic year. Ideal candidates will have TA Level 2 or 3 qualifications and experience in primary education. This long-term role offers 31 hours per week, supporting pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2. Applicants must hold the right to work in the UK and have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Job description

Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hodge Hill that is looking to appoint several Teaching Assistants for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic TAs to join a committed team dedicated to supporting pupils' learning and development.

Position Details
  1. Teaching Assistants (Level 2 or 3)
  2. Location: Hodge Hill, Birmingham
  3. Start Date: September 2025
  4. Contract Type: Long-term
  5. Working Hours: 31 hours/week (Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Friday: 8:30 am - 12:45 pm)
  6. Pay: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Vacancies are available across Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, and Year 4, with roles involving general classroom support as well as some SEND provision.

What we're looking for:
  • Qualified TA (Level 2 or 3)
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting
  • Confidence supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, nurturing approach
  • Experience working with SEND pupils is desirable
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years
