Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Sheffield. You will help pupils with autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and learning difficulties in supportive settings.
Roles are full-time/long-term with short-term and day-to-day supply available, offering ongoing training and supervision. Pay is £95–£110 per day, with weekly PAYE processing and start dates in September 2026.

Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Sheffield. These roles are incredibly rewarding and provide the chance to help pupils overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role may involve supporting pupils with:
Autism (ASC) – providing structure and communication support
ADHD – helping pupils stay engaged and focused
Challenging behaviour – using patience and positive strategies to encourage progress
Learning difficulties (MLD/PMLD) – adapting learning to meet individual needs
Mental health needs (SEMH) – building trust and emotional resilience
Previous experience in schools, care, or youth work is desirable but not essential — we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are eager to learn.
