Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Sheffield. You will help pupils with autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and learning difficulties in supportive settings.

Roles are full-time/long-term with short-term and day-to-day supply available, offering ongoing training and supervision. Pay is £95–£110 per day, with weekly PAYE processing and start dates in September 2026.

• Previous experience in schools, care, or youth work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism (ASC) by providing structure and communication.
• Support pupils with ADHD to stay focused and engaged.
• Use patience and positive strategies to address challenging behaviour.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs (MLD/PMLD).
• Support pupils with SEMH by building trust and emotional resilience.
