TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for an all-age SEND school in Stoke-on-Trent. The role starts in September and supports pupils with mixed SEND needs under the guidance of teaching staff.

You will help promote engagement, independence and positive learning outcomes across the school day, thriving in a supportive, inclusive setting that values personalised support.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for both long-term and short-term opportunities starting in September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils of all ages with mixed SEND needs, working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, independence and positive learning outcomes throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs
• A positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A willingness to get stuck in and adapt to the needs of the school
