SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

Primary schools across Croydon are looking for compassionate, confident SEND support staff to work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need that extra bit of understanding.

This is about being patient, consistent and genuinely invested in helping children feel safe and able to learn.

What the role could involve:
  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD or SEMH
  • Helping children regulate emotions and access learning
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
  • Creating safe, structured routines
  • Celebrating progress, however small

Some roles are full‑time and long‑term. Others offer flexibility to fit around your life. You choose what works.

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND, in schools or similar settings
  • Stay calm under pressure
