Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start. The role is permanent, term-time only, and up to 25 hours per week.

Salary is up to £26,427–£26,846 pro-rata, or £17,389–£17,664 actual depending on hours. The ideal candidate will support students in and out of lessons, especially those with EHCPs, and be committed to working with young people while demonstrating strong organisation and communication skills.

There are a number of positions available and we are willing to take applications from those willing to work fewer hours. Please specify on application how many hours you would like to work – each working day equates to 5 hours.
