Connex Education is recruiting three SEND Teaching Assistants for fixed-term roles at a mainstream primary school in Highbridge/Burnham-On-Sea. Roles are full-time, six hours per day, starting 7th September 2026 and running for at least one term with possible extension.
You will support pupils with diverse needs across classes, delivering 1:1 support, group interventions and assisting teachers in inclusive classroom learning.
Location: Highbridge / Burnham-On-Sea
Salary: £93 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date:7th September 2026
Connex Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school to recruit three full-time SEND Teaching Assistants for fixed-term vacancies, commencing in September 2026.
The school is committed to creating a nurturing learning environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, wellbeing and high-quality education, the school provides excellent support for both pupils and staff, making it an ideal setting for those passionate about SEND education.
Connex Education is seeking three enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join the school’s dedicated support team on a full-time basis. These fixed-term roles are expected to last for a minimum of one term, with the potential for extension.
Working 6 hours per day, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs across the school. No two days will be the same, as you will work across different classes, providing one-to-one support, leading small-group interventions and assisting teachers with inclusive classroom learning.
This role would suit experienced SEND Teaching Assistants or individuals with relevant transferable experience in education, care or youth work. While previous SEND experience is preferred, it is not essential for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, patience and commitment.
If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children with additional needs and would like to join a welcoming primary school, we’d love to hear from you.
