Job summary

E‑ACT The Grange School in Daventry is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Working closely with teachers and SENCO, you will help pupils access learning and thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The role is 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, and it is a permanent appointment. We offer a strong benefits package and are committed to safeguarding, with DBS checks and references required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated passion for supporting children with SEND.
• Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff and parents.
• Ability to adapt learning activities to individual pupil needs.
• Strong behaviour management and positive learning behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND to access learning and achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals on IEPs and EHCP targets.
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured learning activities for individuals and small groups.
• Support social, emotional and behavioural development and promote confidence and independence.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet diverse pupil needs and remove barriers to learning.
