Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd in Rochdale is seeking a committed SEND teaching Assistant to join a modern SEND school on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. The role is a long-term temporary position to make a positive impact from the outset.

You'll deliver tailored support to students with additional needs, assist with IEPs and behaviour strategies, and collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting children in SEND or targeted intervention roles.
• In-depth knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive education.
• Ability to maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach to learning and behaviour.
• Two or more recent education-based references within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to students with additional needs within a dedicated provision setting.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour strategies.
• Drive a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions.
• Offer consistent support for students’ social, emotional, and sensory needs throughout the school day.
