Job summary

E‑ACT The Grange School in Daventry is a welcoming primary academy committed to broadening horizons and supporting every child. The SEND Teaching Assistant role involves working with teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support so pupils with SEND can access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.

You will implement IEPs and EHCP targets, deliver targeted interventions, and help pupils develop confidence and positive learning behaviours.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Passion for supporting children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
• Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Strong behaviour management and ability to support positive learning behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to implement IEPs, EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured learning activities to individuals and small groups.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development, promoting confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet diverse needs and remove barriers to learning.
